Karen Hopper (she/her) is a vice president on the paid media team in the DC office. She develops creative, data-driven media strategies that break through the noise, educate decision-makers, and inspire action. With expertise spanning channels, platforms, and practice areas, Karen brings performance and data strategy into every conversation. Her experience across nonprofit organizations, membership associations, financial services, and Fortune 100 companies makes her adaptable to any organization striving to make an impact.
Before joining Precision, Karen served as senior director of performance marketing at Bully Pulpit International, where she connected data, media, and strategy to inform creative that drives real results for clients including Instacart, Goldman Sachs, and Future Forward. Prior to her time at BPI, she led cross-channel testing and funnel performance strategy at Razorfish, primarily for Citibank. Earlier in her career, she spent nearly a decade at M+R, where she was the agency-wide lead on testing and website analytics and helped build direct response marketing programs for nonprofit clients such as Feeding America, the Humane Society of the United States, PETA, and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.
A lifelong learner and dynamic speaker, Karen regularly presents at top industry conferences including MozCon, Hero Conf, Content Marketing World, INBOUND, and Bridge Conference. She also lectures at universities nationwide on digital marketing, public relations, and nonprofit administration.
Originally from Longmont, CO, Karen earned her degree in music and political science from St. Olaf College in Minnesota. Outside of work, you can find her singing with the Choral Arts Society of Washington at the Kennedy Center, revising her first novel, training for triathlons, and petting every dog she meets.
